Crystal Palace enter talks to sign Antonio Nusa

Crystal Palace have entered talks to sign Antonio Nusa, The Palace Way understands. The South London club have been monitoring the 19-year-old winger for a substantial period of time, and see him as a high potential forward capable of playing in their forward line.

Nusa, who is right-footed, is typically deployed on the left wing, however, Oliver Glasner's system is both versatile and more centrally focused. Therefore, he'd be expected to play on either side of Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Michael Olise's inevitable departure to Bayern Munich has put the pressure on Palace to find a replacement, however, Dougie Freedman has had a lot of time to prepare for this moment. Matias Soule and Iliman Ndiaye have both been on Palace's radar, with the former especially a target.

Another reason for the activity from Palace's side is recent interest from multiple Premier League clubs in regards to signing Eberechi Eze. The England international's representatives were contacted by Liverpool this week, with Manchester City and Tottenham waiting in the wings.

The Palace Way exclusively reported earlier this month of Palace's interest in Antonio Nusa.
