Crystal Palace are ready to make an improved bid for Slavia Prague left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf, after an initial offer in the region of £12.5m was rejected by the Czech club. Diouf is currently Palace's preferred signing at left wing-back, and would provide attack-minded competition with Tyrick Mitchell.
The Eagles' next offer will likely fall below Slavia's £20m valuation of Diouf, which the South London club are unwilling to match. Slavia are in a strong negotiating position due to their sale of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky to Tottenham Hotspur for £12.5m earlier this week.
In the case that Palace's second offer is rejected, they are prepared to move onto alternative targets, including Benfica's Jan-Niklas Beste and Luton defender Alfie Doughty. Oliver Glasner is pushing for Palace to complete their business as swiftly as possible, after an underwhelming summer window left his squad with a lack of sufficient depth.
