As exclusively reported by The Palace Way in June, Crystal Palace are interested in Benfica defender Tomas Araujo. Dougie Freedman is a long-term term admirer of the 22-year-old, and is currently weighing up a move in light of Joachim Andersen's imminent transfer to Fulham for £30m.
Wolfsburg's Maxence Lacroix is known to be Oliver Glasner's ideal signing, however, the 24-year-old's contract is up at the end of the season, and would be available on a free should Marc Guehi be sold next summer.
Lacroix also picked up a foot injury in his latest game for Wolfsburg, and may not be available to immediately step in for Andersen should his transfer to Fulham go through.
Although Palace were expected to sell Guehi this summer, the England international knows that he could have the choice of Europe's elite clubs after another year under Glasner's management. Newcastle United are currently hesitant to match Palace's asking price of £65m (not incl. add-ons).
Odilon Kossounou is also understood to be keen on a move, but Palace are preferring the other two defenders at this time.
