Former Entracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has been appointed as the new manager of Crystal Palace, signing a two and a half year contract until the summer of 2026
The 49-year-old is expected to guide Palace to safety this season, and will be a decision maker in the upcoming summer rebuild that will see multiple key players potentially leave the club.
Glasner will be joined by Austrian compatriot Emanuel Pogatetz as his assistant, who worked with him at LASK, and will bring several new coaching staff to the club as well.
The appointment comes as a result of Roy Hodgson stepping down from his role, due to health concerns. The legendary head coach is highly respected both at the club and in football, and will leave with many fond memories and achievements to be proud of.
Tonight's game between Palace and Everton will be overseen by Roy Hodgson's iconic number two Ray Lewington and former player Paddy McCarthy.
