Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is likely to leave Selhurst Park this summer. The Palace Way understands that the defender is not interested in signing a new contract at the club with just two years left on his deal.
The Palace board are understood to be preparing for the defender's exit this summer, as the Englishman seeks European football. Guehi’s departure would be Palace’s first big exit since Aaron Wan-Bissaka left the club for a record fee in 2019.
Approaches for Guehi will have to smash Palace’s record sale of £50 million, which the club would reinvest into the squad as they continue to build a sustainable profit-based investment model which keeps them within PSR constraints but enables the club to be competitive, securing increased depth.
Guehi signed for Crystal Palace from Chelsea in 2021 on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £18 million. The English international has made 95 appearances for the Eagles and is currently sidelined after undergoing knee surgery in a bid to ensure full fitness ahead of this summer's European Championships.

Chelsea hold matching rights on any accepted offer for the 23-year-old, but the potential absence of European football is said to be off-putting. Tottenham are understood to be keen on the defender, but off put by the price.
The Eagles have begun to identify potential replacements for Guehi with Ronnie Edwards and Jacob Greaves. Of course, Palace have Jefferson Lerma in their ranks who has shown he is more than capable of playing centre-back. The club are also hopeful that West Ham’s Ben Johnson will sign on a free transfer at the beginning of the summer window.
The summer transfer window promises to be busy in South London, as Palace aim to rebuild their squad, adding increased depth to equip Oliver Glasner with a squad capable of securing their shared goal of a top-half finish.
