Crystal Palace are relaxed about the future of Eberechi Eze despite interest from a number of top Premier League clubs, The Palace Way understands.
There is interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but Eze is thought to be prioritising game time above all else.
Palace are in a comfortable financial position given Michael Olise’s imminent departure, and are confident of being able to strengthen their squad with the proceeds of that sale.
Liverpool have been in contact with the Eze’s representatives, but this has merely been exploratory and is not at an advanced stage. Given the value of the England international’s release clause, it is unlikely Liverpool will act on their interest at this moment in time.
Eze is happy at Palace and is aware of the positive impact that the club has had on his career progression. The current long-term project at Palace under Oliver Glasner is also appealing.
He is currently in Germany with England at Euro 2024 - a just reward for his considerable contribution to Palace’s strong end to the campaign. This may play a part in convincing Eze that his long-term international ambitions can be facilitated by remaining in South London.
As previously reported, Palace are in talks to sign Norwegian winger Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge.
The 19-year-old would be an astute signing and would add much-needed pace to Palace’s attack.
